AA Meetings

College/Career Readiness

Meet at the Youth & Family Center (on Municipal Park Road, north of the Health Clinic, adjacent to the library).  This class series is hosted by the Adult Learning Center in Taos, a program of UNM.  Small class sizes lead to much individual attention, and the focus is on the needs of the participants.  Classes are tentatively (as of June) set to begin August 17th, and meet on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursdays from 10am-12:30pm. Dropped Stitch

For knitters, crocheters, seamstresses who enjoy sharing their skills, learning, or just gabbing while they work!  Meets at the Questa Public Library on Thursday afternoons from 2:30p-4p.  The library is located on the north side of town on Municipal Park Road.  Regular hours are noon-5, Monday-Thursdays, plus Saturdays.  575/586-2023.


4-H

Denise Lawrence leads 4-H meetings on Sunday afternoons, at the Youth & Family Center (on Municipal Park Road, north of the Health Clinic, adjacent to the library).  Schedule varies depending on needs of student participants.


Parenting Classes

Questa Health Clinic wil host Parenting With Emotional Intelligence, May 24, 31, and June 7, from 5:30-7pm.  Facilitator, Molley MacCracken, will help you develop the skills to promote health, success, and strong relationships in your children.  FREE. Summer Reading program

At the Questa Public Library, for kids age 4-10, meets each Saturday in June, 9:30am-noon.   Lotsa games, field-trips, and a fun Community Day graduation celebration on the first Saturday in July.

Questa Economic Development Fund Board meetings

The QEDF Board holds meetings monthly, at the Questa Visitor Center building, #1 Highway 38 just east of the traffic light.   Schedule varies.

The QEDF was created by Chevron and the Village of Questa as an independent non-profit Trust, governed by a five-member Board.  Its goal is to assist the Village of Questa and surrounding communities in transitioning to a diverse post mining economy.

Questa Village Council meetings

Village Council meeting are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays of the month, at 6pm.  All are welcome.  Meetings are held in the Council Chambers at the Village offices at 2500 Old Highway 3, one-half mile north of the traffic light, behind the Police Station.

The agendas are posted on this website prior to the meetings.  The public is welcome to offer their comments/concerns during the Public Comments period at the beginning of the meetings.  There is a 3 minute limit per person, though topics may be added to the official agenda for the next meeting.


Quilters

Our talented local quilters meet Monday and Wednesdays from 10am-2pm, at the Youth & Family Center (on Municipal Park Road, north of the Health Clinic, adjacent to the library).  Group projects and individual ones are worked on in a friendly, supportive environment.  Come join the fun!  For more information, contact: Esther Garcia 586-4162 or Phyllis Zimmerman 586-0274.


Zumba
