Questa Public Library

The Questa Public Library is open noon-5pm, 5 days/week; Monday-Thursday plus Saturday.

It is located next to the Questa Youth and Family Center on Municipal Park Road on the north side of town just off Hwy. 522, just past the Questa Health Center. Ph. 575-586-2023.

A Questa Public Library card provides free access to a wide range of resources for adults, teens, and children.   The library is dedicated to supporting literacy in our rural community and has a diverse clientele of the young to the elderly, students to job-seekers; long-time Questeñans and newcomers alike.

Our library has a rich Southwest selection of fiction and non-fiction including stories about the settling of Questa and the San Luis Valley.  The library offers an adult fiction section with a great collection of mysteries and literary fiction, with new titles added often.  Non-fiction includes everything from philosophy to cookbooks, architecture to poetry.  Interlibrary loans can fill any gaps in the library’s small but well-chosen collection.

The children’s section ranges from picture books to books for early readers, middle-grade readers, and young adults.  Our littlest patrons get to sit on the big bears, and our teens enjoy wonderful graphic novels and more!

DVD’s for all ages are also available.

The library has on-site computers and high-speed internet. Wi-fi is available on the library grounds after hours as well.  Patrons can check out e-books from home via the library’s web-site.  Programs include a book club, knitting circle, First Saturday [of the month] Kids Fun*, and special field trips to the library for nearby students.  A summer reading program with its final-day celebration is a beloved community event.
